“I always said February for Wilshere. If he makes that then I am happy”

by on January 13, 2012

Arsène Wenger said earlier today at his press conference Per Mertesacker and Tomáš Rosický are doubts for Arsenal’s game against Swansea on Sunday. Neither of them have trained since recovering from illness. Wenger said this about the duo today “Mertesacker and Rosicky I will make a decision about tomorrow, they have not re-joined the squad yet”.

The Frenchman also spoke about injured players returning, he said England international Jack Wilshere is expected to return in February. Also said this about defenders Bacary Sagna and Kieran Gibbs “Sagna is on the way back but Gibbs may be before him, end of January”.

Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen is expected to be back for the Gunners for their match against Manchester United at the Emirates later this month. Wenger said this today about Carl Jenkinson “we had very good news on his scan and he is starting to practice again”.

Oh! Jack wil return only in feb! Its too much time to wait. Gunners hav to face united january itself. There is no one to take the role of a play-maker.

We can strengthen our defence while injured players returns. But what abt attack. We will miss Chamak, gervinho for 2 months. Henry can’t play for 90 minutes. Walcot is out of form. Then who will assist persie? We definitely want a quality winger, like pedolsky.
