Wenger on Sagna and Djourou injuries and returns

by on December 23, 2011

There was some good news for Arsène Wenger over defenders Bacary Sagna and Johan Djourou injuries and returns. French international Bacary Sagna hasn’t played for the Gunners since early in October and is expected to return next month. Sagna has already started running again. Djourou went off injured against Manchester City last weekend and could return for the match against Wolves next weekend.

Wenger on Sagna’s return.

“You could see that he’s a bit ahead of schedule.”

“We have to [be careful] but physically he will be ready very quickly because he worked very hard in the gym.”

“We think the end of January is a reasonable target for him.”

The Frenchman on Djourou.

“Johan Djourou has a little chance to come back for the Wolves game. “
