Wenger On Facing AC Milan

by on December 16, 2011

Arsène Wenger spoke to the Arsenal website about the Champions League draw and getting drawn against Italian side AC Milan.
Probably the toughest draw Arsenal could of got today but Wenger’s got a very good record in Europe against Italian teams. Arsenal’s manager said this below.

“It is a difficult draw but an exciting one. And they could say exactly the same thing I suppose!

“It is a 50:50. So let’s make sure we continue to improve until February.”

“Then we can take our chance with full power and belief.”

Wenger also spoke about his past memories playing against AC Milan and Inter Milan in Champions League.

“Yes, we have good memories at San Siro. As I say it is an interesting draw.”

“Ideally, it is a draw for one round later but you take them when they happen. ”

“There is not much more to say really – everybody knows Milan, everybody knows Arsenal. We have been in the Champions League for many years and both sides play positive football.”

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s not a question of revenge. We know Arsenal, it’s a team that plays well.
