Arsenal Sent Scouts To Watch Matías Suárez

by on December 15, 2011

According to the Express Arsenal sent scouts to Belgium last night to watch Anderlecht forward Matías Suárez against Lokomotiv Moscow.

Matías Suárezis is from Argentina, only turned 23 in June. The Argentine joined Belgium side Anderlecht in 2008, previously playing for Argentina side Belgrano from 2005 until 2008. Suárezis has scored elven goals in twenty-four appearances for the Belgium side this season including six goals in Europe as well. The striker’s overall record for Anderlecht is 37 goals in 127 games since joining them three years ago.

Arsenal are looking for a striker with the likes of Chamakh and Gervinho going to the African Nations Cup in mid January until February. Robin Van Persie can’t play every game for Arsenal, which only leaves Park Chu-Young as back up for the Dutch striker. Park hasn’t played a minute of Premiership football yet since joining Arsenal in August.

  1. The fact that this guy is totally unknown makes me think he is the type of Wenger buy. I suspect we will most likely end up signing two strikers.

Podolski seems odd on to come and this guy too.

    torres will go to arsenal

  4. I’m grateful that arsenal are in need of another stricker. I’m seeing a slide back to the former form at the begining of this reason once vp is injured. but they still need a natural left back, a play maker in the mid field. thanks i remain arsenal fan.

In my opinion if you wanna buy a striker to give RVP a rest, you have to buy an expert player or at least a player who doesn’t need a time for settle in the team.
