André Santos Out For Three Months

by on December 12, 2011

Brazilian full-back André Santos will undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his right ankle. The Arsenal full-back will have the surgery in Brazil and is expected to be out for the next three months. Santos got the injury against Greek side Olympiacos in the Champions League last week. Arsenal currently have got four full-backs all out injured which will mean the likes of Thomas Vermaelen and Johan Djoruou will continue to there.

According to the team news section on the Arsenal website Carl Jenkinson should return to training in a week and Kieran Gibbs should return to training in two weeks. Remember this information on players returns might not be correct as information on Gibbs and Jenkinson injuries haven’t been updated on the Arsenal website since 25th November.

Expect Arsène Wenger to give an update on Gibbs and Jenkinson injures at his press conference on Friday.
