Bartley Returns For Rangers & Freeman Impressive

by on December 4, 2011

Kyle Bartley returned to the Rangers starting elven who defeated Dunfermline 2-1 on Saturday. Bartley who has been sidelined for the majority of the season, the young center-back featured for Rangers in their friendly against German side Hamburg last week as well. Remember Bartley only recently returned from a long-term injury so he still needs more games to get back to his best.

Bartley was solid throughout the match for the Scottish champions and he was prepared to pass the ball out rather than just clearing it away. You can understand why Bartley likes to pass the ball out because he was educated the “Arsenal way”. I’ve seen some Rangers fans notice Bartley has good passing ability for a center-back.

Luke Freeman started for Stevenage against Stourbridge in the F.A Cup second round, the young Arsenal forward started on wing for the League one side. Freeman was impressive for Stevenage and was unlucky not to score after the Stourbridge goalkeeper made several good saves.

Chuks Aneke didn’t feature for Stevenage because Arsenal didn’t grant Stevenage permission for the young midfielder to play for the League One side in the F.A Cup.
