by on November 23, 2011

After recently extending his contract reserve forward Sanchez Watt has joined League One side Sheffield Wednesday on loan until January 16th. After impressing for the Reserves this season scoring seven goals in nine appearances so far for Neil Banfield’s side this season. Watt who has played as the alone striker for the Reserves this season, he can operate from either wing and play behind the striker if necessary.

After previously going out on loan to Leeds United and Southend United in previous seasons,  Watt will be wanting to continue his great goal scoring form for the Reserves to Hillsborough Stadium during his time their. Watt recently spoke to the Arsenal website and said ““I had a meeting with the boss where he told me what he wants and that he believes in me. I just have to drive myself on.”

Sanchez Watt has become the third Reserve player to go out on loan in the last week, after Chuks Aneke and Luke Freeman both went on loan to Stevenage. Reserve team coach Neil Banfield said this yesterday after his side’s goalless draw against Wolves, “A few will go out on loan if the manager feels that’s what they need, so we’re getting ready for that transition.”

The next possible player to go out on loan could be Dutch midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup. Reports claimed Arsenal recently spoke with representatives of Anderlecht and Genk, and three clubs from the Championship about taking Özyakup on loan.

Özyakups agent Armand Doorn said “The story with Feyenoord was very serious, we were very close.” And went on to say “Why then has not gone a bit unclear, but may come in January are finally transition to De Kuip. That does not me, the preference of Oguzhan itself is at least to the Netherlands.” The source of the information and quotes came from here.

For players to go out on loan to football league clubs, the window closes tomorrow at 17:00PM. This means after the loan window closes players can’t go out on loan to football league clubs until January. So there could be more loan moves tomorrow, we will have to wait and see.
