Feed the Ox and he will score, Spuds on Sunday

by on September 29, 2011

Good day Gooners! Hope you are all well.

So another win last night means that’s three in a row. We aren’t used to this form are we? Last night was not the most convincing of performances, but it’s three points we went for, and three points we got. We did it the hard way, but how many times would we have wanted to win scrappy in the last few seasons instead of playing pretty and dropping 2/points?

The Ox got his second goal for Arsenal, and also became the youngest English player to score in the Champions League. He looked pretty decent last night before coming off for Aaron Ramsey. I’m a fan of Theo, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like he will be twice, or maybe five times, the player Theo is. Still there is plenty of time before we compare him to Theo. He still needs games under his belt.

Apart from the Ox, the only other players that stood out for me was Andre Santos and Mikel Arteta. Santos scored his first goal for the club, which means he has scored half as many as Clichy did in his 8 year career at the club. Arteta once again showed what a bargain buy he was. He’s a ball winner, very creative, and produced an outstanding goal-line clearance in the first half. He looks much better in that No.8 shirt than that money-grabbing little sh*t Na$ri.

But we still managed to concede, which is mainly fault from the poor defending and lack of leadership. Olympiakos played excellent. They didn’t fear coming to the Emirates and giving it a real good go. They obviously did their homework and saw that we are still very vulnerable. For the majority of the game they were the better team, and perhaps they deserved at least a point. Still, you win some and you lose some, and fortunately for us we won. But take note. If we play like we did for the most part of the game in the re-match at their place, we will be punished.

Next up we take a trip to the shite side of North London to face the scum. The biggest game of our season so far. Neither team wants to lose to their rival, and down the years we haven’t had to have that worry. But in the last couple of years we haven’t done as well as we used to against the spuds. No doubt they have a team that have enough quality to test and punish our vulnerability, so our players have that extra pressure of putting in a top performance against our neighbours. After all, the players don’t want to upset us do they?

This is still a North London Derby though, so no question every player will be up for it. Of all the players, Adebaywhore will be more keen than anyone on the pitch, so it will be fucking brilliant to make this game an absolute nightmare for him. If he does score against us, they’ll be more than a few fans throwing just seats, there will be a replay of riots in T*ttenham. Mertesacker to win every 50/50 header, and Robin van Persie to get some revenge from Adebaywhore’s time as a Man City player, and kick him right in the chops. I’ll take a draw there though. As much as we hate them, it will be a very tough fixture. My prediction: T*ttingham 1-1 Arsenal.

I’m off. What are your predictions for the NLD on Sunday? Let us know below. What do you think of T*ttenham? Ahh we all know that one. Come on Arsenal!
